I forget when did I learn about this artist. But ever since that, I always appreciate her and her works.
She was an American and died at the age 98 in New Mexico. She've lived there in her late time. The first time she travel there, the scenery, the dry land and the simple colors and lines of the desert, drew her coming back and back again and then she bought Ghost Ranch, lived and worked to her last day.
I like flowers and colors. They together create a beautiful and natural world and I enjoy it very much. That's why it took my breath when I first saw it. The first O'keeffe artwork I saw was the one which paint with varied red and yellow, with soft and curved lines, and microcopy the petals and vaginas. The whole picture gave me a peaceful feeling. And I began looking for books that talk about her, tried to understand this woman and her flowers.
